Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (2025): The Everyday Cruiser That’s Built For Long Weekends

RE Meteor 350 - 2025

What’s new, what’s familiar, and is the updated Meteor 350 the right cruiser for you?

What’s new in the 2025 Meteor 350

Royal Enfield has launched the 2025 Meteor 350 in India at an ex-showroom starting price of about ₹1.96 lakh (Chennai), keeping it competitive in the 350cc cruiser space. The bike is offered in four variants – Fireball, Stellar, Aurora, and Supernova; giving buyers a clear choice between an approachable base trim and more premium, touring-focused options.

For 2025, the Meteor 350 gains several functional upgrades: an LED headlamp, LED indicators, a Tripper navigation pod as standard, a USB Type-C fast-charging port, and an assist-and-slipper clutch with adjustable levers on higher trims. These additions make the motorcycle feel more modern out on the highway and more convenient in daily use without compromising its old-school cruiser charm.

Design, colours, and road presence

Visually, the new Meteor stays true to its laid-back cruiser stance, with a low seat, teardrop fuel tank, and relaxed ergonomics that made the original model popular. For 2025, Royal Enfield has introduced seven fresh colours, including Fireball Orange, Fireball Grey, Stellar Matt Grey, Stellar Marine Blue, Aurora Retro Green, Aurora Red, and Supernova Black, helping each variant stand out with a distinct personality.

The Fireball and Stellar trims lean more towards simple, clean, modern colour schemes, while the Aurora and Supernova variants add more premium, tour-ready touches. Combined with factory accessories from Royal Enfield’s “Make It Yours” customisation program, owners can tailor the bike with screens, backrests, luggage, and more to suit commuting or long-distance touring.

Engine, performance, and ride feel

Mechanically, the 2025 Meteor 350 continues with the proven 349cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces around 20.4 PS at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This long-stroke motor is tuned for smooth, unhurried acceleration and usable mid-range grunt rather than outright top-end performance, which suits its cruiser role perfectly.

The five-speed gearbox now benefits from an assist-and-slipper clutch, making upshifts lighter and downshifts smoother, especially in traffic or when riding with a pillion. Real-world performance figures from earlier Meteor models show 0–100 km/h in about 14 seconds and a top speed of around 114 km/h, with city mileage in the 40 km/l ballpark, so buyers can expect similar, relaxed real-world performance with good fuel efficiency.

Comfort, touring ability, and features

The Meteor 350’s biggest strength remains its comfortable, upright riding triangle with forward-set footpegs, a supportive saddle, and a low seat height that inspires confidence for newer riders. The chassis, suspension tune, and long wheelbase are oriented towards stability and comfort, making it a motorcycle that feels at home on steady highway cruises as much as on daily city commutes.

On the features front, the 2025 update brings more standard equipment: LED lighting for better visibility, dual-channel ABS for safety, Royal Enfield’s Tripper navigation pod for turn-by-turn directions, and a USB Type-C charging port to keep smartphones powered on the go. Together, these additions help the new Meteor feel more premium and tech-ready without overwhelming riders who prefer a simple analogue riding experience.

Special editions and who should buy it

Royal Enfield is also expanding the Meteor family with more focused editions, such as the Sundowner Orange special edition positioned as a more complete long-distance package at a slight premium over the standard variants. Priced around ₹2.19 lakh ex-showroom depending on city, this edition targets riders who prioritise highway touring, comfort accessories, and distinctive styling straight from the factory.

Overall, the newly launched 2025 Meteor 350 is ideal for riders who want:

  • A friendly, approachable first cruiser with manageable power and weight.
  • A relaxed, comfortable highway machine for weekend rides and short tours.
  • Classic Royal Enfield charm with modern touches like LED lighting, navigation, and USB charging.
