Kawasaki has officially launched the 2026 Z1100 super-naked motorcycle in India at Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing its aggressive Sugomi styling and high-performance inline-four engine to enthusiasts. This flagship model replaces the Z1000 with updated tech and a more usable power delivery, positioning it as a premium choice in the hypernaked segment.
The Z1100 packs a liquid-cooled 1,099cc inline-four DOHC engine producing 136 PS at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm at 7,600 rpm, shared with the Ninja 1100SX for refined mid-range punch over the older Z1000’s peakier output. It features a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle, and claimed mileage of 17.85 kmpl from its 17-litre tank. Expect strong acceleration suited for highways and twisties, backed by BS6 Phase 2 compliance.
A 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity anchors the electronics suite, offering turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and smartphone integration. Rider aids include a 5-axis IMU for cornering traction control (3 modes), cornering ABS, Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), power modes, cruise control, and riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, Rider). Fully adjustable Showa suspension, Tokico brakes (310mm front dual discs, 260mm rear), and Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres ensure sharp handling on its 221kg kerb weight aluminium frame.
True to Sugomi design, the Z1100 boasts a predatory stance with twin LED headlamps, muscular tank, blacked-out engine, and split seat at 815mm height for accessible ergonomics. Available in Ebony/Metallic Carbon Grey colors, it measures 2,055 x 825 x 1,085mm with 125mm ground clearance and 1,440mm wheelbase.
Priced competitively at Rs.12.79 lakh ex-showroom, the Z1100 undercuts the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP (Rs 13.29 lakh) while matching its performance credentials in the supernaked class. Bookings are live at Kawasaki dealerships, with deliveries expected soon – ideal for those seeking Japanese superbike thrills without European premiums.
